Important Safety Information:
Do not install on hot water line install on cold water only.
Do not install on line pressures above 90 PSI.
Do not install unit in direct sunligth.
This unit is not intended to be used where water is microbiologically
unsafe or with water of unknow quality without adecuate disinfection
before or after filter.

PROCEDURE FOR INSTALLING
THE FILTER:
1- Select a location. The filter may be installed in any convenient
position in the water line to the icemaker on your refrigerator.
2- Shut of Water.
3- Cut water line. For copper line use tube cutter. For plastic
line use the knife. Check that tubing ends are cut straight and
free or burrs or distortions.
4- Screw compression fittings with plastic inserts into port of
filter body and snug up using wrenches or pliers. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN.
5- Remove nuts and ferrules from compression fittings. First slide
nut onto end of copper or plastic tubing then slide on brass ferrule
(see the picture1). If tubing
6- Insert end of water inlet tubing into compression fittings
as far as it will go. MAKE SURE FLOW OF WATER IS IN CORRECTION
(IN). Slide ferrule and nut down to end and tigthen nut onto compression
fitting. The tubing must be pushed all the way into fitting while
tigtening nut.
7- Before connecting out side of filter, run water through the
filter to flush out any carbon fines into a pail FLUSH UNTIL WATER
IS CLEAR (MINIMUM 15litres/ 4 gal).
8- Shut of water again, then connect compression fittings on outlet
side of filter using procedure in steps 5 and 6 to complete your
installation.
9- Turn of water suply line. If leaks occurs, tighten nuts or
fittings until leaks stops. Use teflon if is necessary.
NOTE: Even though you have flushed the filter to remove the fines,
it is possible that some resetting of the cabon can occur and
the first trays of ice cubes may be discolores. Discart the first
few trays if this is the case.
YOUR FILTER SHOULD BE CHANGED BEFORE
6 MONTHS OR BEFORE IF THE BAD TAST OR ODOR IN THE WATER RETURNS
OR WHEN THE FLOW OF WATER IS REDUCE.2
